BASIC 8 is a great 80-column color graphics operating system for the Commodore 128 computer, written by Lou Wallace and David Darus. It utilizes all of the best features of C128 ultra-hi-res graphics, including joystick and mouse input, printer drivers, the 1700 & 1750 REU, and the 64K video RAM of the 128D. This archive has several disks images; The original BASIC 8 Master Disk which can be used to create editor and runtime work disks, a BASIC 8 Demo disk that shows off the impressive capabilities, an application disk that includes the BasicCalc spreadsheet and BasicWrite wordprocessor, a prepared runtime and editor disk and lastly, a .D81 which includes everything from the .D64 images.
