CCGMS v1.1 by Craig Smith (c)1988 - Thanks to Cyberjank we now have one of the oldest versions of CCGMS. I'm not sure why, but it appears the official name back then was "-CHP-'s CCGMS! Term 1.1". Anyone know what the CHP is or stands for?

10/17/2020 - Thanks to one of our visitors for the info on CHP (Commodore Hacker Pals).

Another "Fixed Version" by Streetkiller with an intro by Taskmaster of ASP (Advanced Software Piracy) . The X-Modem is supposedly fixed in this version, and the colors for the menu's are changed.

Released by Iceman/FTP in August/1989. This is just a very lame hack of CCGMS 8.8. It looks like the only thing changed on this version is the title bar on the opening screen - LAME

Yummy v11.0 Mods by Thrasher / S.S! November 1989. This is just a purely cosmetic mod with new colors and re-worded menus.

Released June 1990 by Sir Taxi. No mention of version specific details in the author's notes, but based on the file name, I but you can guess what was added.

Lightly modded (possibly only cosmetic) version by Shadow Master on 1/6/1990.

Based on the release version of CCGMS 13.0 - 1989, this modified version was done by "Terminus/Eliteness". It looks to be mainly an appearance mod as colors and wording are changed but nothing else apparent.

Appears to be a fairly legit version of CCGMS 14.0 with a small modification to add "The Enforcer" as the releaser. This version supports 2400 baud.

Slightly molded version of CCGMS 15 by John The Wizard

This is the first version of CCGMS I have seen that has an intro screen. Apparently "The Hole In The Wall" BBS modified it for advertisement purposes. The built in Author's message was unchanged showing this version is from 1990.

This version was modded by Iowa Surfer. Looks to be the standard CCGMS.

Very interesting version of CCGMS. With this version, you can "Bluebox" a long distance call before going into the terminal. Once connected you press f8 to jump into CCGMS. The CCGMS is the 17.1A version modded by Iowa Surfer.

Released by Defcon of UNICESS. Looks like a standard version with some changes to the menu colors.

Mods by Coldblood, 6/1990 - I like this version. Cleanly modded w/Big Blues v2.2 (c) 1993. Press f7 and quit to get to BlueBox. Press run/stop from Blue box to get back into CCGMS.

Version 17.5+Blue Box v2.1 by Radar of Arcade. Doesn't look like anything special was added to this version besides the blue boxing. Supports 2400 and Punter.

CCGMS version 18 by Night Stalker, 5/20/90. I am really surprised to find this version. I wasn't aware there was anything newer than 17.1

By Beretta, January 1992 - Hard to say what is new about this version over the 17.x versions. It just has some wording different in the menus from what I can tell.

I'm thinking this is a hacked version of CCGMS 9.0 by Icebreaker/BDS but not sure. Supports up to 2400 baud.

Imported by Skinhead, 1992. This version of CCGMS opens up with Bluebox c-64 version 2.0.

Version 2001 Mods by Onslaught, released 8/18/1990. Not exactly sure which version of CCGMS this is based on but it had to be one of the last ones. It supports ANSI and a feature called War chat.

I encourage anyone who wants to, to add those (or other) features and submit them. I’ll do a v2 or start betas for a CCGMS 2018… or something like that.

Bugs should be mostly gone, though there might be a few lurking here and there. Mostly, it works, and works really well. It was a lot of fun to mod CCGMS, as it was the first terminal program I ever used when I was a kid. It held a lot of fond memories for me, and I’m sure most of you. Thanks to Craig Smith for releasing his source to the public. And thanks to all of you for your support and encouragement in the making of this version. Sorry I couldn’t honor every request, but I hopefully made most of you guys happy. Again, if you guys wanna add anything, please do and submit it to me. Or release your own versions. I don’t claim any rights to this. I just wanted to see it exist. So it’s all good.

CCGMS 2020 by Alwyz - Notes from the author:

- Re-write of pretty much every driver and tons of optimizations and improvements under the hood. Saved 10 blocks. 

- Ultimate driver has been removed, since Swiftlink emulation is now a feature of the Ultimate64 / Ultimate II+

- CRT is Easyflash Version. No RR-Net Support. IDE64 version in progress to hopefully be released at some point in the near future.

CCGMS 2021 - Originally by Craig Smith, but heavily updated and improved by Alwyz.  This is one of the best Commodore 64 terminal programs you'll find, if not THE best!  There is so much support now for new C64 peripherals that it's pretty much a must have!

NEW in v2021:

• Punter stack and Unlisted dialer bugs have been eliminated
• Support in autodialer for Zimodem and related WiFi device firmware that prefer an ATD prefix to ATDT.

Non hacked/modded version straight from the author himself, Craig Smith!

This is a modded versio of CCGMS that can display RLE pictures from any type of system. There are docs on the disk explaining how to use the feature.

Original version of CCGMS 4.3 with a "Background Mod" done by the author Craig Smith. Anyone know what the "Background Mod" is/does?

Craig Smith - 1987. This version of CCGMS supports up to 1200 baud and has a 41k buffer. There is a small docs file included.

Craig Smith - This appears to be the first version to support a phonebook.

Craig Smith - This version adds two new commands to the main menu - "Send Dir." and "Screen to Buff."

This modified version of CCGMC 5.5 was fixed by Pudwerx/Excell. It is the same as the 5.5 Euro version but now is also NTSC fixed. This is also crunched, that is why it's so much smaller than 5.5 Euro.

Special version of CCGMS with 2400 baud receive rate correction. Apparently this version has an X-Modem bug though, because version 5.6+ reportedly fixes it.

Special 2400 Euro correction by PudWerx, MCI added by Bod.

This is the version of CCGMS that CCGMS 5.6+MCI is based on. The 2400 baud in this version is designed to work in Europe only. Read the notes inside the program for more info.

Chris Smith - This version appears to be the same as version 5.5 cosmetically. There are two versions of the program on this disk. One of the files is 6 blocks smaller because it is packed.

This version of CCGMS by Wanderer of Fantasy has built-in music! There are 7 built-in songs that you can play while using the terminal.

Released & Fixed by Dualis - This is a fixed version of 6.01. Apparently the x-modem file type selector was broke.
