zip.png Fassem by Merlin

Fassem by Merlin (1984) is an extremely interesting and hard to find assembler / disassembler for the Commodore 64.  I spent hours just trying to find mention of this package and all I came across is two references.  One was from the magazine Commodore User Issue 16 (small sales ad) and a for sale listing at retrogames.co.uk.  This package is pretty unique because it lets you program in a type of BASIC syntax.  Check out the manual for all the details.

Big thanks go to BlueCursor for sourcing this truely rare program and manual.

zip.png The Fast Assembler V3

First debuted in Compute!'s Gazette Issue 31, Here's a truly amazing machine language assembler for the 64 and 128 (in 64 mode). "Fast Assembler" supports multiple statement lines, labels, and macro-like "include" files. It can assemble to memory or to disk. Written very compactly, it occupies only about 2600 bytes, leaving the rest of memory for your source code. It also adds to the BASIC editor several new features useful to both BASIC and machine language programmers.

Thanks go to BlueCursor for this contribution.
