Tron/FLT, 1991 - Directory editor for 1581 disks.

This program was written for 64'er by Wim Taymans. It's a directory editor.

Dir Master v1.0 RTN - This is an updated version of the original v1 of Dir Master by Wim Taymans which was released by the magazine 64'er.  This version has been updated in August 2024 by Wilfred, one of our generous visitors who spent a lot of time hunting down a bug in machine code (he didn't have the source code) that causes the color cycled text highlighting routine to not show in the menus.  Unfortunately, it turns out that this bug is only apparent in the CCS64 Emulator.  That doesn't mean there isn't some legitametly bad code in the original, it just doesn't seem to affect anything but CCS64 (original works ok in Vice and Z64k).

Thank you Wilfred for taking the time to solve this puzzle and make available a fully working version for all Commodore 64 emulators.

Released by Faces, this version apparently has bugs in the disk operations because it's mentioned in the intro 6that they will be fixed in version 3.2. Why the hell would a group release a known buggy version? Only posting this for historical reasons.

Release by Manik of Laxity in November 1997. Apparently Manik wasn't aware that version 8.0 had already been released. Anyway, expect all the same greatness with extra frills to boot.

Dir Master v8.4 released by Erol of Hitmen is a directory editor upgraded from v7.3 according to the credits.  Help is built-in and pretty self explanatory. 

This program is quite amazing. It is more than just a directory editor, it is also a disk monitor that can work with tracks above the normal 0-35 all the way to 42. Help is built into the program.
