HES Writer 64 ByJerryBailey (1982) - As quoted from the manual:

Thisprogramallowsyoutoentertext intothecomputerviathecomputer keyboard,theneditandformatthe textbeforeprintingit.

I suppose in 1982 you could look past the crudeness of this program, and were just have something better than a typewriter.  Anyway, here's a link to the manual which is surprisingly detailed.
