VChar64 v0.0.10 by Ricardo Quesada and other contributors.  Nice little Windows program for creating custom character sets for you Commodore 64 programs.  Has several example character sets to try out.

Velveeta by Kevin Hisel - Here's another utility that could be pretty handy, especially when you want to print out some documentation you found in a sequential (SEQ) file on some random disk, but it was formatted for 40 columns (because that's all our humble C64 has).  Not only can you strip carriage returns, you can also get rid of extra spacing while still honoring the traditional 2 spaces after a . (period). Additionally, it can also strip out non-text characters, so it might be helpful in converting a text file from some other word processor that embedded a bunch of control characters.  Although this utility can process PRG and USR files, I really can't see the usefulness in that, so I'm putting it in the Seq File Tools area. See the screen shots to read the built-in help.

Vert! v.20 by Mike Dryja (1986) is a data conversion utility for the Commodore 64 that can move text between the following formats:  Ascii, Speedscript, Write Now!, and Q-Link.

File Copier by Marty Franz and Joe Peter (1987 RSD) - A while back I posted this utility, but it was a hijacked version by some group called TSS/Tango Soft Systems (link).  Now that I've found what is probably the appropriate unscathed version, it's time to give the authors credit.  One thing I didn't catch before is that this copier has support for Warp-DOS which is the same as the 1571 Burst Speed, so use that if you've got the right hardware.  Additionally, there is a nice BAM viewer / editor, and a couple other creature comforts.

VFcopy by Marty Franz and Joe Peter (1987) is an excellent file copying program for the Commodore 64 / 128.  Besides being multi drive / device capable, it also has a built in Warp-DOS mode that is really nice for speeding things up.

Because everyone in this day and age needs to make labels for their VHS tapes, I present you with VHS Label Maker for the Commodore 128 in 80 column mode.  Go forth and create labels!

VIC Mail for the Commodore VIC20 is a database for storing addresses.  The thing I find interesting, but certainly not uncommon for this era of software / hardware, is that the program stores the records on a tape drive one at a time as you enter them.

Personal Finance is a package of four programs designed to run on the basic 5K VIC computer with a tape cassette unit or disk drive.

The four Personal Finance programs are contained on two cassette tapes with one program stored per side. Part 1, Income and Expenses, is stored on the first tape on the side marked Personal Finance (Part I).  Part 2, Spending Analysis, is stored on the reverse side of the first tape marked Personal Finance (Part II).The second tape contains Part 3 called Budgeting on the side marked Personal Finance (Part III). Part 4, Deductible Expenses, is on the side marked Personal Finance (Part IV).

VIC Terminal by James Carcary is a very simple terminal program for the Commodore VIC-20.  Instructions are included in the archive.

VIC-20 emulator for the Commodore 64.  Don't know anything about the VIC-20 so I can't tell you how accurate this thing is, but it must be pretty simple because it doesn't even emulate the 22 column video mode.

VIC-II² Installation Instructions v1.0 (Updated Dec 11, 2022) - This is a detailed set of instructions on building and installing the "VIC-II Squared" hardware that allows you to have both an NTSC and PAL VIC-II chip installed in your Commodore 64, giving you the ability to switch between them.

VIC20 Disk Backup is a single disk copier.  Requires at least a 16k RAM expansion module.  

VIC20 Two Disk Backup is a disk copying utility that requires two floppy drives and at least 16k of expansion RAM.  Note - I couldn't get this to work on any version of WinVICE older than 3.3.

Vic20PrgGen is a windows based tool for creating BASIC programs for the VIC-20 computer.

Vicarate 3.5 (released Jan. 7th, 2021) by Henner Kessler is a fighting game for the Commodore VIC-20.  No memory expansion is required, or can even be installed when playing.  There is support for 2 players when using the Protovision 4 player interface.  In the archive is both a .D64 image and a .PRG file that can be put on an SD card if using the SD2IEC with your VIC-20.  Be sure to load the game with Load "VICARATE35",8,1 as it's a machine language program.

** this version doesn't work with the FB20 launcher, but included in the archive is an Exomizer crunched version that does.

Vicsoft Winter 1983/84 Catalogue

How would you like to be able to use single-key entry for 52 BASIC commands? With ''VICword" running in your VIC, you can hold down the SHIFT key and hit the letter "L" and the word "LOAD" will appear on screen. Hold down the COMMODORE key and hit "L" and "SAVE" writes itself on the screen. Especially helpful when typing in those long BASIC programs, VICword is a clever machine language program that puts itself into memory (expanded or not), protects itself from interference by BASIC, and then tells you how to tum it on or off  whenever you want.

This is the software for the Video Byte II cartridge. The Video Byte II plugs into the User Port, and allows the C64 to digitize black-and-white still frames from a composite input connection.

Villain Modded C*Base by Holy Moses - This is a heavily modded C*Base 3.3 BBS that is strictly for the Ultimate 64 and turbo mode.  The two disks in the archive make up a complete functioning BBS and are ready to go.

VIP Terminal 1984 - Written by Dan Nelson and Brian Lundgren. This is an Isepic version.
