This is v2.0.0 [Build 20200515.1523] - It appears there are multiple v2.0.0 builds.

Z64k by William McCabe is a Pixel exact emulation of the Commodore 128,Commodore 64, Spectrum 48/128K,VIC 20 and Atari 2600.  This particular build is v2.1.0 from October 24th, 2021.  Although this emulation package covers several computers, I find that it has particularly good Commodore 128 support, better than VICE.  As always, see the authors site z64k.com for the latest version and further details.  Check out the detailed description for the recent changes.

If you really need to, you can use this hint book to help get you through the game... but try not to, it's more fun and rewarding to get finished without using this.

Zap! 1541 Error Encoder v2.0 by Centsible Software was released in 1984.  With this software you can analyze a disk for errors or as the name implies you can encode an error onto a disk for a form of copy protection.  Although the program shows two copiers and all the files are there, neither the single or double disk copiers seem to work.  Everything else works ok.  If you have a fully working version of this please let me know.

Zapload 64 for the Commodore 64 is one of those programs that falls into two categories; fastloader and disk menu, I opted for the disk menu category because it's just a little to big in size to make a go to fastloader.  Size aside, it could also be a handy fastloader because once in memory, you can change disks and re-load directories on the fly.  It also seems to support multiple drives, but I didn't test that functionality.

Zapped for the Commodore 128 (40 Columns) is a game similar to Hangman where one person comes up with a word and the other tries to guess it;  a little less morbid.

MONITOR add-on for assembling and disassembling Z80 mnemonics. Use BLOAD and SYS DEC("2D00") to activate. The new MONITOR command "Z" disassembles in Z80 mnemonics (preceded by a dot), and "*" assembles in Z80 mnemonics.

ZED 128 v0.77 written by Craig Bruce and released on February 16th, 1993 - Full docs are inside the disk image.

Zed is a text-editor program for the Commodore-128 80-column screen. To use it, just LOAD and RUN the "ZED-128" binary file. Be sure to save it in PRG format.

Here is a summary of Zed's important features:

• Works with *BIG* text files.
• 100% unadulterated machine code with high-speed VDC accessing.
• Uses Burst commands for reading 1571 and 1581 files.
• Uses a dynamically allocated data structure to hold the editor document and the "Kill Buffer".
• Will optionally expand TAB characters into spaces while loading a file and compress spaces into TABs while saving.
• Global search and replace.
• Range delete and recall.
• File translation to and from ASCII-CrLf?, ASCII-Lf, ASCII-Cr, and SPEEDSCRIPT character codes.
• Has a feature for cutting and filling (juggling) text lines to form paragraphs with roughly the same number of characters on each line.

And here is its major limitation: 

• Has a maximum line length of 80 characters. It will split file lines longer than that.

Zip Collection v2.0 by Alpha Flight - We all know about Zip Coded disk images, the ones that start with 1! , 2!, 3!, 4!, etc... We also know about Six Pack encoded disks which can be up to 40 tracks and encoded into six files, but there is another type of Zip compressed files that I just recently learned about thanks to Groepaz of Hitmen.  This rarely used compression is the  Zip Filepacked files.  If you run across a set of 3 files that start with a! , b! and x! , then you need this program to uncompress them.

Released on March 10th, 1989 by Defcon of ITT (It Takes Three). This appears to be a bug fixed version of Zip-Code by Darkstar (1988). This came from an anonymous uploader, but still much appreciated.

Just a simple program to convert a set of Zipcoded disk files into a .D64 image.  NOTE:  This program appears to only work with version 1 zipcoded files.

Zipcode is a full disk packer / unpacker for creating easy to upload/download images of a floppy disk. This particular version was released by Eaglesoft in 1987. Although v1.3 isn't commonly used, there is a chance you'll run across an archive that only this version will work with, so grab a copy.

ZipCode v2.2 by Mad Max of MHI - This is a utility that converts a full disk into a handful of files that can be easy transferred to a BBS.  It also un-compresses said files back into a regular disk.

ZipCode v3.0 or Zip / Unzip v3.0 - Apparently version 2 was not 100% so here you have it, v3.0!

Back in 2008 when the SD2IEC storage device came on the scene for the Commodore 64, it wasn't compatible with the .D64 disk image file format, instead it used what is refered to as the M2I format.  Here is a collection of games released by "znarF" that is in the old format.  Aparently based on this post over at the Nightfall Crew's web page, you need to convert these to P00 format to be used with newer SD2IEC firmware. 

For reference, this post on the Lemon64 forum is why I went hunting for this collection.

The most attractive feature of ZOOM Pascal 64 is that it creates true 6502 machine code. This make ZOOM Pascal 64 extremely fast when compared to BASIC or other Pascal compilers.

With the advent of the affordable home computer, Pascal has become a very popular language.  In the past four years we have seen a tremendous offering in both Pascal compilers and application software written in the Pascal langauge. The Commodore 64 has become one of the most sought after micros because of its tremendous features at an unbelievably low price.  And the number of high quality software offerings for the Commodore 64 has skyrocketed in the past six months. We believe that ZOOM Pascal 64 is one such package.  It has excellent features at a very reasonable price.

Zounds is a neat collection of various sound effects created in BASIC with just POKES and FOR loops.  If you need some simple sound effects for a game or demo you want to write in BASIC, this would be a good file to rip those from.

ZOUNDS! is a digital audio recording/playback system for the C128. This archive includes software for playing digital sounds with a stock C128 and for digitizing sounds using special additional hardware. Plans for building the hardware (an A/D conversion board that plugs into the User port) are also included.

Written by Jeff Brown and released in 2010. Although this isn't the newest version, I thought it would be nice to have the older version on hand to compare. I believe this is the first public beta and features 100% Assembly Language, Swiftlink/Turbo232 support, User port support, Punter / Multi-Punter Transfers (No xmodem or ymodem in this version).

Zterm 0.7c by Jeff Brown is a pure machine language terminal program inspired by CCGMS term.  This isn't the newest version, but it's sometimes nice to see how things progress.

Zterm is a CCGMS Clone written by Jeff Brown (but much better than CCGMS imho). Supports Swiftlink, ASCII / CG Modes, has a 36K buffer and written in 100% assembly language so it's blazing fast!

This is version 1.8 of the firmware for Zorro3 machines with a MNT ZZ9000 video card.  I have placed these drivers here because they are the specific version I use on my A4000D.  I recommend you go to the official repository located HERE to get official releases.
