Destroyer by Epyx on the Commodore 64 is a World War II naval combat simulation where you captain a lone U.S. Navy Fletcher-class destroyer through a series of standalone missions such as submarine hunts, convoy escort, blockade running, shore bombardment, scouting, and rescue operations. You switch between different stations—bridge, radar, sonar, guns, torpedoes, depth charges, AA batteries, and damage control—using both keyboard and joystick, juggling navigation, target tracking, and weapons while reacting to enemy ships, subs, and aircraft and trying to keep your ship afloat under fire.
