Power at Sea on the Commodore 64 is a World War II naval action-strategy game from Accolade where you command a small U.S. strike fleet—a battleship, an aircraft carrier, and a troop transport—during the Battle of Leyte Gulf. From the bridge of your flagship you switch between officers to handle communications, navigation on a scrolling map, damage control, and weapons, all under a tight 96-hour time limit to capture four Japanese island bases. Combat shifts into more hands-on sequences: you fly first-person air attacks against destroyers, use big guns to shell ships and shore batteries, direct bombardments and troop landings against beach defenses, and man anti-aircraft guns against kamikaze planes, blending simple strategic planning with arcade-style engagements.
