Ace of Aces on the Commodore 64 is a World War II combat flight simulator where you pilot a RAF de Havilland Mosquito fighter-bomber on missions over occupied Europe. From a series of cockpit-style screens—front view, wings, bomb bay, and a navigation map—you intercept enemy bombers and V-1 flying bombs, strafe or bomb trains, and attack U-boats, all while juggling fuel, ammo, and damage to your twin engines. Before each sortie you choose mission types and carefully load fuel, bombs, and rockets, trading speed for payload, then fly in first-person view through variable weather and enemy fire, trying to hit targets and make it back across the Channel.
